Binnen het Cardio-Thoracale perioperatieve proces van het UMC Groningen werd in 2012 gestart met introductie van van gestructureerde team communicatie instrumenten: SignOut (SO) en Debriefing (DB) door middel van een multidisciplinaire interventie op basis van de Nederlandse versie van TeamSHOPP. “Bottom up implementatie van TeamSTEPPS vergt leiderschap in de top" aldus Albert Jan Klein Ikkink van het Wenckebach Skills Center UMCG. “Ook blijkt houding, gedrag en de rol van medici tijdens trainingen en op de werkvloer een kritische succesfactor voor creëren en behouden van draagvlak en een veilige ontwikkel-sfeer voor alle betrokkenen.
